A pending new Chelsea striker has been reviewed this week after making his international debut for the senior side.
As is Chelsea’s way of operating these days, they are snapping up all the young talents in world football before they get too big. They want to sign them for cheaper fees so they have either got a bargain player who turns into a superstar, or if that doesn’t happen, they can still sell them for some profit. That is Chelsea’s current recruitment model, even though it has come under a lot of criticism lately.
There was even a report earlier this week that Chelsea offered midfielder Romeo Lavia to Manchester United as part of the deal to sign Alejandro Garnacho, which is just madness if true. It really does show you what Chelsea are all about these days if they were prepared to sell Lavia already.
Then there are players such as Estevao Willian, who Chelsea believe will become one of the top ten players in world football within three seasons, and in that case, will believe that they got him for a bargain fee.
So with all that in mind, another player Chelsea have taken up an opportunity to sign is striker Emmanuel Emegha from sister club Strasbourg. He’s not arrived at Chelsea yet, but everything is done for The Blues to bring him in when they’re ready.

The striker made two cameo appearances for Netherlands this international break, making his debut for the senior side.
The youngster again came off the bench in the must-win World Cup qualifier against Lithuania, and hit the post in his quest to score his first goal for his country.
Despite this, NOS Sport still described his cameo as ‘lively’, giving Chelsea fans a glimpse of what is to come in their future.
They said: “As substitutes, Quinten Timber, Emanuel Emegha, Lutsharel Geertruida, Noa Lang and debutant Luciano Valente were also allowed to share in the celebration.
“Emegha came close to scoring his first international goal in a lively substitution, but hit the post and missed a great chance in stoppage time.”
Lively bit missed a good chance, mixed bag then!
