CEO Giorgio Furlani is not planning on making any quick decision regarding the new sporting director, despite speaking with Fabio Paratici.

After returning from a week in Dubai – where he met with club partners – the latest MilanNews report states that Furlani immediately immersed himself in the casting process for the new sporting director of Milan.

The chief executive wasted no time and met in the past few days with one of the main candidates for this prestigious position: Fabio Paratici. He is studying the best next move for his career too, with his suspension due to expire in July.

The meeting that took place between Furlani and Paratici, however, has not yet led to any definitive agreement. In fact, Milan intend to take more time after the meeting with the former Juventus and Tottenham director.

This is because Giorgio Furlani will continue in contact with the other candidates for the role such as Igli Tare and Tony D’Amico for example, even if Paratici remains the favorite. What seemed like a decision to be made by the end of the month will ‘now be postponed for a few more weeks’.

As we have already highlighted in analysis pieces regarding the midfieldthe centre-backs, the strikers and most recently the full-backs, there is a lot of squad construction for the new director to consider, so time is of the essence.
