Mönchengladbach confirm signing of Isac Lidberg from Darmstadt

Borussia Mönchengladbach have completed the signing of striker Isac Lidberg from SV Darmstadt 98.

According to BuLi News, the 27-year-old has agreed a contract running until 2030.

Lidberg scored 31 goals in 58 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga for Darmstadt.

Sporting director Rouven Schröder described him as a goal threat, physically strong and assertive in duels, painting the picture of an aggressive centre-forward with dynamism and the right mentality. He said talks underlined Lidberg’s desire and ambition, and that the club have strengthened a key position early and at a high level.

Lidberg said Borussia’s interest excited him, calling the club big with an impressive history. He added that he followed the Bundesliga as a child and decided quickly to take this step.
