According to L'Équipe, Monaco are close to agreeing a deal with Metz to sign Sadibou Sané for seven million euros, plus more than three million in bonuses.
After a poor season, Monaco appear determined to move quickly in the market. Although nothing has been announced, they have lined up Filipe Luis to succeed Sébastien Pocognoli, and it is already agreed that Flavio Nazinho, from Cercle Bruges, and Mathys Detourbet, set to join on loan from Manchester City, will wear the diagonal.
Sané could become the third arrival if the move is finalised. An agreement in principle is understood to be close between all parties, with only final details to settle.
The 21-year-old centre-back is a rugged Senegalese prospect following a path similar to compatriot Lamine Camara, also born in Diouloulou, progressing through Génération Foot then Metz.
Should the transfer be completed, Sané is expected to sign with Monaco until 2031.
