A potential Les Rouge et Blanc penalty was checked by VAR (36.), but no award followed.

Mbwana Samatta then headed narrowly wide in the fourth minute of first half stoppage time.

Defensive disruption hit Les Rouge et Blanc as Wout Faes went off injured before the interval, with Eric Dier later making way for Jordan Teze after the restart. M'Pasi also denied Balogun again in the closing stages.

Le Havre registered seven attempts with one on target. Les Rouge et Blanc produced 10 attempts and two on target, and held 53.9% possession.

Next, Le Havre visit Lens. Les Rouge et Blanc host Juventus in the Champions League before facing Rennes.
