Monaco have opened talks with Vanderson’s representatives about extending a contract that already runs to June 2028, mirroring discussions with Paris Brunner and Mamadou Coulibaly.

According to L'Équipe, after a hectic summer window the focus has shifted from transfers to renewals. Monaco have signed four new professionals, Benzahra, Haddani, Gomes and Ajroud, and now want to advance first-team cases, including Vanderson, Paris Brunner and Mamadou Coulibaly, whose situation was set to be revisited after the summer.

The Brazilian right-back is rebuilding rhythm after a difficult campaign that ended with an injury ruling him out of the 2026 World Cup. His compatriot Filipe Luis has started him ahead of Jordan Teze. He also scored his first international goal in a 4-1 win over Australia.

Previously keen to leave in summer 2025, Vanderson is enjoying a modest revival early this season. That upturn sits alongside negotiations over a possible extension.

Signed in summer 2022, he is now Monaco’s second-longest serving player behind Alexandre Golovine, at the club since 2018. Vanderson has made 155 appearances for the Principality side.
