Monaco reject opening Chelsea bid for Lamine Camara | OneFootball

Monaco have rejected an opening €45 million bid, add-ons included, from Chelsea for Lamine Camara, leaving a deadline-day exit possible.

L'Équipe reports that the offer followed an earlier informal enquiry and was turned down today for the 22-year-old midfielder, who is under contract until June 2029.

The Senegalese midfielder would view a move to the Blues favourably, but Chelsea would need to raise their proposal for any deal.

Chelsea have also worked on their priority target, Manu Koné, yet finding agreement with AS Roma for the France international still appears complicated.

Camara now seems to have become a late-window priority for Chelsea. He could join Folarin Balogun on the departures list, with the American having agreed terms with Everton and a club agreement already in place.

Thilo Kehrer is close to joining Ajax on a one-year loan with no option. Third-choice goalkeeper Yann Liénard is expected to join Cercle Bruges for the season, also without an option.
