Monaco have outlined a provisional plan for Paul Pogba, with manager Sébastien Pocognoli saying they hope he returns to training before the March international break. According to Get French Football News, he added that the situation around the 32-year-old is becoming clearer.

Pogba has made only three brief cameos since signing in the summer, totalling just over 30 minutes. He has not played since a calf injury in early December and is yet to rejoin first-team training.

Until now, neither Pocognoli nor CEO Thiago Scuro had been able to offer any return date. The latest update came as Monaco prepared for the UEFA Champions League play-off second leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

Pocognoli said the club aim to build something positive during that period if he does rejoin the group, stressing it is a plan they hope to keep to. He noted the midfielder is focused and his programme is defined.

Should training resume before the window, an April comeback could be on the cards for the former Manchester United and Juventus player. Any timeline remains tentative.
