The prospect of Lamine Camara, 22, staying for a third season is gaining traction at Monaco. According to Nice-Matin, even a €60m bid would not be considered sufficient at present.

The Senegal international has admirers in England, including Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Crystal Palace. A bid from Palace has reportedly been rejected as the board look to keep him.

Camara is not believed to be in a rush to leave France and is unlikely to force an exit.

A key figure in the squad, he is expected to play a major role again under Felipe Luis. He made 31 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring three goals and providing four assists.

His situation could mirror Maghnes Akliouche, 24, who has been retained for another year to allow his market value to rise.
