Monaco v PSG: Dembélé injury scare on eve of Champions League play-off!

This Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain (2nd in Ligue 1) faces AS Monaco (8th) at Stade Louis II as part of the first leg (return on Wednesday, February 25) of the 2025-2026 Champions League playoffs (kick-off at 9 PM, broadcast on Canal+). On Monday evening, L’Equipe reported that Parisian forward Ousmane Dembélé (28 years old) felt discomfort during the day's session.

“During the closed training session on the pitch of Stade Louis-II on Monday evening, the forward complained of discomfort in one leg. He repeatedly accelerated, seemingly testing himself, and spoke with the team doctor. On Friday night, the Ballon d’Or winner had finished the match against Rennes (1-3) already complaining of discomfort.”

Dembélé is not yet ruled out, as it will depend on the results of his tests during training and his sensations tomorrow. However, it is not encouraging, and we wouldn't be surprised to see another player start the match tomorrow. Especially since coach Luis Enrique is not one to take risks. Let's wait to find out more.
