Sébastien Pocognoli was once again full of praise for AS Monaco forward Folarin Balogun (24) after he scored once again in a 2-0 win over Stade Brestois at the weekend.
Balogun currently has 14 goals in all competitions. That is more than his least two seasons at Monaco combined, and the USMNT forward has scored in all of his past four Ligue 1 games. His goals are lifting Monaco back into European contention. The Principality club are now sixth, having languished in midtable as recently as the start of February.
“He is working for this consistency,” said Sébastien Pocognoli in a press conference attended by Get French Football News. “I think his level of performance is pushing all of the players in his sector of the pitch. He is simply reaping the rewards of his hard work. He is ambitious, focused, professional… in the end, you reap what you sew.”
