Monaco’s Safouane Benzahra set to sign first professional contract | OneFootball

L’Équipe reported earlier this week that Melvin Gomes was set to sign his first professional contract with formative club AS Monaco, despite strong interest from Chelsea. He isn’t the only player expected to put pen to paper in the coming days, the publication now adds.

Safouane Benzahra (18) a Morocco youth international, has featured with Monaco’s first team this season, playing in both of the club’s UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers, as well as playing a handful of minutes of Ligue 1 football. Like Gomes, he is now set to be rewarded with a first professional deal by Les Monégasques.

Haddani and Ajroud also set to sign

The same will also apply to Nahek Haddani. The 17-year-old attacker is set to sign his first professional contract, too, L’Équipe added. Foot Mercato understands that Franco-Tunisian attacking midfielder Najd Ajroud will also sign a three-year deal with AS Monaco. The left-footer had a strong season with the club’s U19s last time around and has already caught the eye of Filipe Luís.
