Safouane Benzahra to sign professional terms at Monaco | OneFootball

Monaco are set to confirm a small wave of professional contracts within the next 48 hours, with Safouane Benzahra among those stepping up. According to L'Équipe, the 19-year-old Dutch-Moroccan midfielder joined from NAC Breda in summer 2025 and is now being rewarded after a year in the Principality.

Initially on a trainee deal, Benzahra forced his way into Filipe Luis’ group during pre-season. He delivered a notable cameo at Anfield in a 3-2 win over Liverpool.

Since then he has featured as a substitute in both Conference League play-off ties against Gornik Zabrze, which finished 3-2 and 4-1.

He has also had a brief run-out in Ligue 1 in the 2-1 at the Parc des Princes against PSG.

The cohort is expected to include Melvin Gomes. Not all names have emerged, but 17-year-old forward Nahël Haddani is also set to be included, having arrived in summer 2025 among 11 post-formation recruits.
