Manchester United Women have made their third signing of the summer.
United replaced Marc Skinner with Eva Olid as head coach at the start of the month.
They also brought in Spanish full-back Andrea Medina and German goalkeeper Janina Leitzig.
United completed their third move when they officially announced the signing of Swedish winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Häcken.
Bah was interviewed by the club’s official YouTube channel, where she spoke about her joy at joining the club.
The interviewer described her as one of the fastest players in Europe and she replied, “I feel like it’s a big advantage to be a fast player. I just can’t wait to play against good players and play with my teammates as well.”
She also explained, “I am a player that loves being direct, taking players on, and even scoring goals.”
Speaking about why she decided to join United, she claimed, “yeah, I think everyone knows this is a massive club. The club is ambitious, and I’m ambitious myself. I felt it was a good opportunity.”
When asked to reflect on her time at BK Häcken, she said that playing in the Champions League was her biggest achievement. Bah stated it was a dream and that she was honoured and proud to play in that particular competition.
The Sweden international also explained that she was excited to start playing in the Women’s Super League and described it as one of the best in the world.
She also highlighted the sacrifices her brother and mother have made to help her be successful, making special mention of them.
When asked about the number of Swedes now at the club, she said, “I’m happy they are there. We have so much fun, especially me and Sandberg.”
Bah also asserted that she had heard a lot about the fans and was keen to meet them.
Finally, her sign-off message was, “I feel amazing. This is a huge opportunity for me. I just can’t wait to get started.” She also added, “hi Reds! I can’t wait to meet you all, share this journey with all of you, and yeah, see you!”
