West Bromwich Albion beat Norwich City 2-1 at Carrow Road to kick off the Championship in fourth place, leaving the hosts 20th.

Aune Heggebo broke through in the 75th minute, finishing from close range after Jimmy Morgan's pass.

Morgan then burst clear to add the second from Max O'Leary's assist (87.).

Substitute Mathias Kvistgaarden glanced a header in to give the Canaries late hope (90.).

O'Leary was outstanding, making seven saves as the visitors held firm. The Canaries carried the threat for long spells, registering 20 attempts and 53.8% of the ball. West Bromwich Albion created eight attempts but were clinical when it mattered.

After a double change in midfield, West Bromwich Albion found the moment they needed down the middle, and the breakthrough followed soon after.

The Canaries visit Millwall next. West Bromwich Albion host Burnley.
