Mourinho and Lucho were both sent off in the Benfica-FC Porto clássico, and the Porto assistant has now been banned.

According to O Jogo, the FPF Disciplinary Council gave Lucho González a one-match suspension for deliberately leaving his technical area to act provocatively, reacting to provocation from Benfica coach Mourinho, then confronting him.

The committee also imposed an additional eight-day suspension arising from the altercation with the Benfica coach.

The exchange involved Mourinho tapping his index finger on his thumb repeatedly and telling Lucho he was small, with Lucho replying that he was a traitor.

The Porto assistant was also fined €4,015.
