Moussa Diaby is close to rejoining Bayer Leverkusen after a breakthrough in talks with Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad, Kicker reports.

Bild claims the fee is €28 million, while Kicker puts it at just under €30 million.

Three years after leaving the BayArena, the 27-year-old could complete his return within days if everything goes to plan.

Leverkusen sold Diaby to Aston Villa in 2023 for €55 million.

He moved to Al-Ittihad for €60 million the following year.
