VfL Wolfsburg goalkeeper Marius Müller has been handed a one-match suspension by the German Football Association's sports court, and assistant coach Tobias Holm has left the club. According to BuLi News, the ban follows charges of unsportsmanlike conduct brought by the DFB control committee.
Müller was sent off by referee Florian Exner after the final whistle of last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Hamburger SV. A melee involving both benches broke out at full time, with Müller singled out.
The 32-year-old will miss Saturday's trip to TSG Hoffenheim.
Holm has left alongside dismissed head coach Daniel Bauer. The 36-year-old joined the academy from Hannover 96 in 2020 and worked across age groups before promotion to the first team.
Wolfsburg thanked him for his commitment to the green and white and wished him well for the future.
Wolfsburg have since replaced Bauer with the experienced Dieter Hecking, who last coached VfL Bochum.
