Marshall Munetsi’s proposed permanent move from Wolves to Paris FC is fading, with the chances now said to be “very low”. Aston Villa are also monitoring Cody Gakpo’s situation at Liverpool.
According to Teamtalk, Liverpool are not actively looking to sell Gakpo at present, although that could change later in the summer.
The Netherlands forward’s future is in some doubt after Arne Slot’s exit and uncertainty over his role under new Reds boss Andoni Iraola.
Villa are among a host of clubs linked, alongside Tottenham, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid and others on the continent.
Munetsi, the Zimbabwe international midfielder, spent the second half of the season on loan in France after being deemed surplus to requirements by Rob Edwards.
Wolves are likely to try to move him on elsewhere this summer. The 29-year-old has two years remaining on his Molineux contract.
