Munoz, Jesus, Delap - Nottingham Forest predicted XI for key Aston Villa clash | OneFootball

Oliver Glasner faces selection calls as Nottingham Forest chase their first win of the season at Aston Villa today (3pm kick-off).

According to Nottingham Post, competition for places is intensifying, with decisions looming across the pitch.

Forest were close last weekend against Tottenham Hotspur, only for Neco Williams’ strike to be ruled out for handball.

Liam Delap made his full debut at Spurs. The £45 million forward managed one attempt in 74 minutes, from 25 yards, so changes could come around him.

Morgan Gibbs-White and Dan Ndoye have been the preferred support, but Glasner might freshen things up.

Ndoye improved to score in the 2-2 draw at Liverpool after a quiet opener, then could not back it up, so his place may be vulnerable.

Igor Jesus might feel unfortunate to have missed out to Delap. The Brazilian is unlikely to be a regular starter up top, but is a stronger candidate for one of the two No 10 roles.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Arnaud Kalimuendo are on the fringes for now.

In midfield, Ibrahim Sangare has missed the last two with a slight injury but is available. Xaver Schlager impressed last time, dovetailing well with James McAtee, so continuity has a case.

At wing-back, Daniel Munoz replaced Ola Aina for the final half hour and might start, though Glasner could resist altering a defence that kept a clean sheet.

A back line change would surprise. Jair Cunha caught the eye and might keep Ousmane Diomande waiting on merit.
