Victor Muñoz marked his full Premier League debut with a stunning late equaliser as Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw by Nottingham Forest at Anfield.

Forest made the brighter start and deservedly took the lead midway through the first half. Morgan Gibbs-White slipped Dan Ndoye through after a simple ball over the top, with the winger keeping his composure to fire beyond Alisson.

Liverpool responded with greater urgency, but Florian Wirtz saw a goal ruled out for offside before Matz Sels denied the German with a fine save.

The hosts eventually levelled shortly after the hour when Cody Gakpo's low cross found Alexander Isak, who tapped into an empty net.

However, Forest restored their advantage soon afterwards. Liam Delap's quick throw released Neco Williams, who was brought down by Alisson inside the area. Gibbs-White stepped up and confidently converted the resulting penalty.

Andoni Iraola's side refused to surrender and found a deserved equaliser with eight minutes remaining. Wirtz picked out Muñoz inside the box, and the Spaniard swivelled before smashing a spectacular finish in off the crossbar.

Neither side could find a winner, leaving both managers still searching for their first Premier League victory of the season.
