Victor Munoz struck a deflected late equaliser as Liverpool came from behind to draw 2-2 with Nottingham Forest at Anfield.

Dan Ndoye had given Forest the lead in the first half and Forest had further chances to extend their advantage, with Alisson producing a superb save before half-time to turn Igor Jesus’ effort onto the crossbar.

Liverpool improved after the break and levelled through Alexander Isak, who tapped home from Cody Gakpo’s low cross.

However, Morgan Gibbs-White appeared to have won the game for Forest when he converted a controversial penalty with 20 minutes remaining, following a challenge by Alisson on Neco Williams.

But summer signing Munoz rescued a point for Liverpool with an emphatic strike which took a deflection on its way into the net.
