Manchester United have reportedly been involved in discussions with Besiktas over a potential deal for Wilfred Ndidi.
That’s according to former Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers, who revealed on X/Twitter yesterday: “My contacts in Turkey tell me Manchester United have had talks about Wilfred Ndidi. The player is anxious to return to England.”

He’s seemingly not the only one to be hearing such rumours, as talkSPORT also linked the midfielder with the Red Devils at the start of the week.
It comes amid United’s ongoing search for a proven mid-season acquisition to bolster Michael Carrick’s options in the middle of the park.
As expected, they would prefer a stop-gap/cut-price signing, or someone they can take on loan before sending back to their parent club upon the culmination of the term.
Ndidi, 29, certainly ticks all their boxes in regard to experience, given he accumulated 220 Premier League appearances in eight top-flight seasons with Leicester City.
He finally pulled the curtains on his Foxes tenure last August, after Leicester had once again been relegated from the division for the second time in three years.

In addition to Ndidi, United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan from AC Milan.

The Chelsea graduate is navigating a more reduced role at the San Siro this campaign, starting only eight times in his 19 Serie A appearances thus far.
If United did decide that Loftus-Cheek would be a worthwhile addition, they would have to act fast, as Aston Villa are sizing up a move for the 11-capped England international following a potentially season-ending injury to Boubacar Kamara.
He would also likely favour a switch to Villa Park, where he will be granted the opportunity to play in the Europa League and the FA Cup, rather than just the league, like United can offer.
