Myron Boadu expected to return to Monaco ahead of potential future sale

Myron Boadu’s (23) loan spell at FC Twente has not been a categorical failure but nor can it be deemed a complete success. The Dutch forward is expected to return to parent club AS Monaco at the end of the season, however, his future may not ultimately lie at the Principality club, report Foot Mercato.

Boadu left Monaco in January after his agent went public in an attempt to force through a move away from the Principality. Given the competition up front, with the likes of Wissam Ben Yedder, Folarin Balogun and also the returning Breel Embolo to contend with, Boadu’s chances were at a premium and when they came, he didn’t take them.

His six-month loan spell in the Netherlands saw him feature 10 times for Twente. He scored three goals in that time. He will now return to Monaco, where a decision will be made on his future. Boadu’s contract with Les Monégasques runs until 2026, however, the Ligue 1 club will listen to offers for the Dutch forward this summer.
