Nabil Fekir signs two-year deal with newly promoted Abha in Saudi Arabia

Nabil Fekir has signed a two-year contract with newly promoted Abha in Saudi Arabia.

According to Le Progres, the 2018 World Cup winner, 33, joins after a season with Al Jazira in the United Arab Emirates, where he scored nine goals and reached the end of his deal. He will honour what is described as the final contract of his professional career.

The former Lyon forward scored 69 goals in 193 matches for the club. He later spent five seasons at Betis Seville, to which he remains closely attached.

He starred in a 5-0 win at Geoffroy-Guichard on six November 2017. He was also the standout in Lyon’s 2-1 Champions League victory at Manchester City on 20 September 2018.

Fekir now heads to Saudi Arabia hoping to add his creativity for an ambitious Abha in the top flight.
