André Ayew is already making his mark since joining NAC Breda last January. The veteran Ghanaian scored his first goal in his new colors against Feyenoord, helping his team secure a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Facing one of the top teams in the Dutch league, Eredivisie runners-up, NAC Breda delivered a solid performance in front of their home crowd. In this action-packed encounter, André Ayew stood out by netting his team's third goal, opening his account since his arrival in January 2026.

An important goal for the Ghanaian striker, who returned to competitive action after nearly six months without a club. Since signing, the former Olympique de Marseille captain has been a regular feature: already nine appearances, including four starts.

An influence that goes beyond the numbers

Even when he doesn't score, André Ayew's impact is obvious. Both in the dressing room and on the pitch, his experience and leadership have injected new energy into the squad. His teammates unanimously agree that his presence has a positive effect on the team's mentality.

The numbers tell the story of this transformation. Before his arrival, NAC Breda had scored just 16 goals in 18 rounds. Since January, the team has found the back of the net twelve times in seven matches.

The mentor role

A former Le Havre AC player, André Ayew is steadily establishing himself as a true mentor within the squad. Beyond his individual performances, he is helping to restore confidence to a team that was going through a tough spell.

Since his arrival, NAC Breda has lost only two of their last eight games. Even better: with him in the starting lineup, the club has recorded back-to-back wins after a nightmare run of eleven straight defeats.
