Giscombe looked up to one of football's recent greats during his childhood.
"My inspiration growing up was Neymar as his style of play is always something which caught my eye and that's the type of player I want to be seen as," he said.
Giscombe spent time at West Ham’s academy before going on to play for Reading, his final club before signing for the Bees.
"I spent seven years at West Ham, where I learned all the basics, and then I spent two years at Reading, which helped me become a better and more confident player," he explained.
"Then I was given a scholarship to play for Brentford.
"It was a very proud moment for me as I had a lot of ups and downs, but I continued to work hard, and it finally paid off.”
Since joining the Bees, Giscombe has made a positive impression within the U18s squad, not only with his performances on the pitch but also through the bonds he has built with team-mates and coaches.
He continued: "I have enjoyed my first season a lot, I love the environment at Brentford and have made some great relationships with not just my team-mates but also the staff here.
“I’ve developed a lot already over the course of the season and I’m in a position where I feel that I am an important part of the squad.
“I’ve been really pleased with some of my performances, but I know there is still a lot to work on and I need to become more consistent.”
That self-awareness and drive to improve will be crucial as he looks to elevate his game further next season.
"My goals for next season are to win a trophy, whether that's the cup or league, get 20-plus goal contributions, and be featured in a few B-team matches.
“Right now, the important thing is to concentrate on this season as there is still plenty up for grabs and I will give my all to help the team as we enter the final stages of the campaign."
