Nantes weigh move for Brest’s Romain Del Castillo

According to L'Équipe, Nantes have sounded out Brest over winger Romain Del Castillo as they look to bolster a survival push.

Nantes endured a poor first half of the season and sit 17th in Ligue 1. They are seeking reinforcements this winter.

The approach for Del Castillo is at an early stage, but a first enquiry has taken place. The left-footer is 29 and has a year and a half left on his contract.

Brest are regarded as tough negotiators and have no intention of letting him go.

For now, the player is focused on the project in Finistère.

It remains to be seen how Nantes might try to lure Brest’s top scorer, who has 6 goals this season, given they have limited incoming business to loans or free agents since the start of the summer.
