Napoli are planning to submit a new offer for Bologna winger Dan Ndoye ahead of a potential summer transfer (h/t Sky Sport Italia).

The Partenopei have been in negotiations with Bologna for several months, but haven’t made a breakthrough.

Despite having a €40 million bid rejected by the Rossoblu, Napoli are going all out to sign the Swiss international.

Bologna are holding out for €45m, while Napoli are looking to bridge the gap in the next round of talks.

Ndoye has already given the green light to a five-year contract worth €3m per season with the Serie A champions.

Napoli are ahead of Nottingham Forest in the transfer race. Forest also had a €30 million bid knocked back by Bologna.

Antonio Conte sees Ndoye as the final piece of the puzzle for Napoli’s attack, having acquired Noa Lang and Lorenzo Lucca this summer.

Ndoye was a key figure for Bologna in securing Champions League qualification in the 2023/24 season and winning the historic Coppa Italia this year.

The 24-year-old’s relentless pace, combined with his dribbling ability, makes him a dangerous outlet in the attack.

Napoli would also benefit from his defensive work rate and pressing abilities.

They have shortlisted a few alternatives to Ndoye, including Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling, Sassuolo’s Armand Lauriente and Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo.

Liverpool outcast Federico Chiesa has been linked with a move to the Diego Maradona Stadium, while Atalanta and AS Roma are also keen on the Italian winger.

The Scudetto winners are monitoring Manchester City’s Jack Grealish, but his astronomical wages reduce the odds of his signing.
