Monday’s reports claim that Napoli have turned down an offer from Turkish giants Fenerbahce for centre-forward Romelu Lukaku, who is increasingly likely to leave the Stadio Maradona before the close of the transfer window.

Fenerbahce and Napoli remain engaged in negotiations for Lukaku and reports on Sunday claimed that all parties are confident that an agreement will be struck within the next few days.

Lukaku is into the final year of his contract with Napoli in 2026-27 and reports in Italy suggest that the Partenopei will entertain bids in the region of €10m for the 33-year-old this summer. It is also understood that Lukaku is seeking a salary in the region of €10m per season as well.

It was reported on Sunday that Turkish side Fenerbahce had submitted an offer for the Belgian, which is believed to be around €5m.

According to the latest updates from the Corriere dello Sport on Monday, Napoli have decided to reject that offer and are standing firm with their €10m valuation. Fenerbahce are still expected to come back in with an improved offer.
