Napoli are prepared to ramp up their efforts for Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri, with the coming days expected to be decisive for the Moroccan international’s future.
According to Alfredo Pedullà, a direct contact between the Turkish club’s president and the Partenopei has already taken place, signaling a warming of relations over a potential transfer. Antonio Conte is reportedly a keen admirer of the forward and is interested in bringing him to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
The 28-year-old is currently fully focused on the Africa Cup of Nations, where he is set to lead the line for Morocco in tonight’s final. Because of this international commitment, formal discussions regarding his move to Italy will only resume once the tournament has concluded.
While other names like Evan Ferguson are also on Conte’s shortlist, the path to the Brighton-owned striker, who is currently on loan at Roma and his time has been left complicated by injury issues in the capital. As a result, the spotlight has shifted firmly onto En-Nesyri as Napoli look to secure a major reinforcement for their frontline.
