Qatar Sports Investments’ new club Eupen, in Belgium’s second tier, hosted Nasser al-Khelaïfi and Luis Campos on Thursday afternoon as the pair visited and addressed the squad.

According to L'Équipe, the visit followed QSI’s appointment of Pasquale Sensibile as sporting director and Eupen’s first team spending a few days training at the PSG Campus.

Al-Khelaïfi urged players to target promotion to the top flight, stressing hard work, full commitment in training with the coach and staff, and unity as a team and family.

He said the group should stay positive, enjoy their football and treat every match as important, adding that QSI back the project to help lift the club to another level and view the players as ambassadors for Eupen and for QSI, with big ambitions.

Campos told the dressing room he knows the squad well and considers them a key part of QSI’s project, calling for focus on that ambition and a strong mentality in good times and bad, with players following the coach and fighting to win matches. He reiterated their importance within the project.
