Aston Villa have sacked manager Natalia Arroyo following Sunday's 4-0 defeat away to Tottenham Hotspur.

That result against Spurs meant that Villa sit 13th in WSL, the promotion/relegation play-off position, with just two points from their opening four games this season. Indeed, the Villans have struggled in the league from the calendar year of 2026 with just two victories across 15 games in total.

Arroyo led Villa to ninth place finish last season after having initially joined the side as a replacement for Robert de Pauw midway through the 2024/25 season.

"Everyone at Aston Villa would like to thank Natalia for her efforts and wish her all the best in her future endeavours," the club said in a statement.
