National team manager says only Juventus knows why attacker struggled | OneFootball

Van Bommel discusses Openda’s Juventus struggles

Belgium manager Mark van Bommel was asked why Openda struggled in Turin and said via Tuttomercatoweb:

“Openda is doing very well at Lyon, and that’s why I called him up. Unfortunately, he didn’t do well at Juve; you’ll have to ask Juve what went wrong.”

Openda will now hope to continue building on his performances for Lyon and Belgium. His current form could also influence his future, particularly if Juventus receive interest in making his loan move permanent.
