FC Bayern continues to move forward with its youth development plans. According to recent reports, the Munich club is on the verge of securing the services of one of the Czech Republic’s top talents.
While FC Bayern has already signed two high-profile newcomers—Ismael Saibari and Nathaniel Brown—for its first team, club officials are also working intensively on the club’s future. Once again, the focus is on a promising young talent.
As reported by the Czech website Infotbal, the Munich club is in advanced talks with Slavia Prague regarding a transfer of Matous Srb.
According to the report, the 16-year-old’s move could be finalized shortly. A transfer fee of around one million euros is being discussed. Bonus payments could increase the total package in the future.
Furthermore, Slavia Prague is reportedly insisting on a share of any future transfer fee should FC Bayern sell the attacking player again at a later date.

Srb comes from Slavia Prague’s youth academy and made the leap from the U19 team to the reserve squad of the storied Czech club earlier this year. In his home country, the youngster is hailed as the “new super talent.”
The Czech U17 national team player feels most comfortable in attacking midfield but can also play on the right wing.
According to Infotbal, the player himself is pushing for a move to Munich and wants to take the next step in his development abroad at a young age.
For Vincent Kompany’s professional team, however, Srb is not currently on the radar. The 16-year-old is clearly being groomed as a prospect and would initially be developed at the Bayern Campus.
The fact that the Munich club is reportedly willing to invest one million euros in a young player, however, shows just how highly the club’s leadership rates the Czech talent’s potential.
