Neil Lennon has admitted that Celtic are still in the market for signings before the January transfer window shuts on Friday.
The Bhoys have been most heavily linked with Bristol City winger Niclas Eliasson and Leicester centre-back Filip Benkovic.
Swedish left winger Eliasson, who has been capped at U21 level for his country, is reportedly also attracting interest from Lazio.
Benkovic would be a familiar face at Parkhead after he spent time on loan with the Glasgow giants last season.
Admittedly, Brendan Rodgers was in charge for most of the Croatian’s time with the Hoops.
Rodgers, who resigned from Celtic to take the reins at Leicester last February, has said Benkovic will be sent out on loan again for the remainder of this season.
Lennon was pretty tight-lipped when asked about the possibility of the player returning for a second spell with the Bhoys.
“I don’t know is the answer,” The Scotsman reported Lennon as saying.
“I only worked with Filip for a short term, but I know he had a good impact here last season, so hopefully we’ll be looking to bring one or two in this week.”
Celtic extended their lead to five points at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 3-0 win over Ross County on Saturday.
Callum McGregor opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 37th minute and Odsonne Édouard secured the three points with a second-half brace.
