The Netherlands have released their World Cup squad numbers, with Memphis Depay of Corinthians to wear 10.
Ronald Koeman said players chose their own numbers, adding: “I think they have the right to feel comfortable with a specific number. Virgil wears the captain’s armband, but that does not mean the others do not have a say,” per Telegraaf.

Koeman also confirmed Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool as captain. Depay had already used 10 during qualifying.
The Netherlands are in Group F alongside Japan, Sweden and Tunisia.
They open against Japan on 14 June at 17:00 Brasília time. Group F crosses with Brazil’s group, so the Dutch could face Brazil in the first knockout round.
