Neto Murara is closing in on a return to Juventus nine years after leaving Turin for Valencia CF. Corriere dello Sport reports that talks have accelerated over the past 72 hours, with a contract to June 2027 under discussion, and the Brazilian could travel imminently for medicals.

The move stems from an injury to Kamil Grabara, prompting Luciano Spalletti’s side to seek immediate cover in goal. Neto has moved ahead of Sergio Rico and Jasper Cillessen, and his free-agent status would allow a signing without a transfer fee at a time of tight finances.

Juventus have valued his recent rhythm, with Neto playing until May for Botafogo, and his familiarity with Serie A. He spent six and a half seasons across Fiorentina and Juventus, reducing any adaptation time.

He first joined Juventus in 2015 after four and a half years at Fiorentina, taking on the understudy role to Gianluigi Buffon. League minutes were limited, but he played every minute of the Coppa Italia in 2015/16 and 2016/17, both won by the Bianconeri. Across ten matches he kept five clean sheets.
