Attacker Jonathan Rodríguez is in line to make his América debut at Monterrey on Saturday.

The Azulcrema’s star summer signing only arrived back in Mexico last week after a six-month stint with Saudi side Al Nassr.

He was not considered for Saturday’s Apertura opener against Atlas, with Las Águilas struggling to create and score chances in a 0-0 draw at the Estadio Azteca.

According to TUDN, however, ‘Cabecita’ is now “100% physically fit” and has played a full role in recent training sessions.

In addition to Roger Martínez, who has been ruled out for at least six weeks with a thigh problem, Salvador Reyes will also miss the trip to El Gigante de Acero.
