- Spain have climbed to the number one position in the Fifa men's rankings, marking their first time at the top since June 2014.
- Their ascent from second place was driven by two victories in 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Turkey and Bulgaria.
- Argentina, the 2022 World Cup winner, dropped to third place after a qualifier loss to Ecuador, allowing France to move up to second.
- England remained at fourth, Portugal rose to fifth, while Morocco and Japan lead African and Asian nations respectively.
- The November rankings will be crucial for determining seedings for the 48-team World Cup tournament draw, scheduled for 5 December in Washington.
