New Mega Contract Through 2032? Olise Apparently Demands a Real Madrid Release Clause

Michael Olise has long since become one of FC Bayern’s most important players. Consequently, the Munich club is very interested in securing the 24-year-old’s long-term commitment to the club. Although his current contract runs through 2029, club officials are already considering an early extension.

A new contract running through 2032 is on the table. This would apparently also come with a significant pay raise. Olise could join the top earners on the Bayern roster and earn up to 25 million euros per year.

However, salary is likely not the only factor that will play a key role in any potential negotiations. The player is said to have a specific request: a buyout clause.

Olise apparently wants a special Real Madrid clause

According to information from Sport BILD, sources close to the French player have repeatedly indicated that they want a specific buyout option included in any new contract.

Transfer insider Ekrem Konur now reports that this is specifically related to Real Madrid. According to him, Olise’s camp wants a clause that could allow the French international to join Los Blancos at a later date.

Real Madrid has reportedly been interested in Olise for quite some time. President Florentino Pérez, in particular, is said to be impressed by the Bayern star.

For Olise, a buyout clause would not be anything new. The attacking player already had such an option while at Crystal Palace. This would have allowed Bayern to bring him from the Premier League to Munich in the summer of 2024 for 53 million euros.

However, his current contract with Bayern does not include such a clause. Sporting director Max Eberl recently made it explicitly clear that Olise currently has no stipulated buyout option.

More than 200 million euros as a possible compromise?

For a long time, buyout clauses were a taboo subject at FC Bayern. In the meantime, however, club officials have become more flexible on this point. Similar provisions have also recently played a role in the cases of other key players such as Jamal Musiala, Dayot Upamecano, and Harry Kane.

In Olise’s case, therefore, the specific terms of the contract are likely to be the decisive factor. Should the Frenchman indeed extend his contract through 2032, Sport BILD considers a fixed buyout clause of more than 200 million euros to be realistic.

For Bayern, this could represent a compromise. Olise would have the desired option to leave the club early under certain conditions. At the same time, the record champions would be extremely well protected financially in the event of a potential departure.

Given that his contract runs through 2029, the Munich club is under no immediate pressure to act. Nevertheless, they apparently want to get things settled early and secure one of their most valuable players for as long as possible.

According to information from the *Abendzeitung München*, however, the focus is initially on Harry Kane’s contract extension. Talks with the 33-year-old are reportedly in the final stages.

After that, Olise is set to become the next major contract priority. Ideally, Bayern would like to begin talks with the Frenchman before the end of this year. At that point, the question of whether the record champions will actually grant their superstar a special “back door” to Real Madrid is likely to play a central role.
