Bürki has reverted to number 38, which is what he was given at the start of his time at the Westfalenstadion.

The 30-year-old has been attracting interest from both Roma and Lille.

Meanwhile, another new arrival has also been given a revered number by Die Schwarzgelben.

Teenager Soumaïla Coulibaly, who joined from Paris Saint-Germain, will wear the number four on his back. The allocation sees him follow in the footsteps of club legends Christian Wörns and Neven Subotic.

It is certainly an indication of highly the 17-year-old is rated by the Dortmund hierarchy.
