Transfer rumour season is coming around faster than you’d ever expect. We’re already hearing major rumours about Chelsea’s potential moves this summer.

When we snapped up Joao Pedro from Brighton last summer, we caught Newcastle short. They were expecting to be able to sign the striker. They pivoted to Nick Woltemade. It hasn’t gone well. They look like they will be back in the mix for another attacker this summer, and two different Chelsea options are being mentioned.

Chelsea have two strikers interesting to Newcastle

TeamTalk claim that the Magpies are considering both Liam Delap and Nicolas Jackson as options. The former is struggling as our backup, while the latter is on loan at Bayern Munich. We can certainly imagine a world where one (or both) of them move on in the summer.

Whether Newcastle will be able to put up the major money required to sign Jackson is another question. Their spend on Woltemade and Yoane Wissa last summer may have left them short.

In other news…

Moises Caicedo was Chelsea’s best player for a big chunk of this season, but his form has gone off a cliff in recent weeks.

Filip Jorgensen getting injured was a mad coincidence given he was about to be dropped, but he’s now had surgery and will miss a few weeks.
