One name who has been linked with a move to St James' Park is Pierre Emile Højbjerg who has plenty of Premier League experience having featured for both Southampton and Spurs from 2016 to 2024. The Danish international left Spurs for Marseille on an initial loan before making the deal permanent last summer.
