Newcastle ‘to consider’ Joao Gomes, as Wolves ‘eye’ Utrecht winger Adrian Blake | OneFootball

Newcastle United have discussed Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes during planning meetings at St James’ Park, according to The Athletic.

Newcastle have sold Sandro Tonali to Tottenham Hotspur for £100million this summer, while Bruno Guimaraes is strongly linked with a move to Arsenal.

Gomes has made 116 Premier League appearances for Wolves, scoring seven league goals since joining from Flamengo in 2023.

Wolves are also reportedly interested in FC Utrecht winger Adrian Blake this summer. Burnley and Celtic are set to compete for his signature, per Sky Sports News.

The former Watford winger featured only three times in 2022-23 at Vicarage Road. He has since produced nine goals and five assists in 63 games for Utrecht, including four goals and two assists last season.

Blake, 20, has one year left on his contract and is valued at around £2.5million.
