Newcastle ‘to consider’ Joao Gomes as Wolves ‘to target’ Utrecht winger Adrian Blake | OneFootball

Newcastle United have discussed Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes as a possible target, The Athletic reports, with Sandro Tonali sold to Tottenham for £100million this summer.

Bruno Guimaraes is strongly linked with a move to Arsenal, and the report says Gomes has been mentioned in planning meetings at St James' Park. The Brazilian has made 116 Premier League appearances for Wolves, scoring seven since joining from Flamengo in 2023.

Wolves are also weighing a move for FC Utrecht winger Adrian Blake this summer, Sky Sports News says, with Burnley and Celtic set to compete for his signature.

The former Watford wide man featured three times for the Hornets in 2022-23 before heading to the Eredivisie.

Blake has produced nine goals and five assists in 63 Utrecht outings, including four goals and two assists last season. The 20-year-old has one year remaining on his deal and is valued at about £2.5million.
