Newcastle to demand £100m each for Sandro Tonali and Antony Gordon | OneFootball

Newcastle United are open to selling Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali, according to the Telegraph.

Chief executive David Hopkinson has admitted that the club need to sell to comply with the new financial rules.

Newcastle sold Alexander Isak to Liverpool for £125 million last summer, and expect similar offers for their key players.

They demand at least £100m each for Gordon and Tonali, as they are under contract until 2030.

Gordon has been linked with Liverpool, who are exploring options to replace Mohamed Salah.

Manchester United and Manchester City have both been credited with interest in Tonali. A move to United is now unlikely due to his valuation, wages and previous betting ban.

Tino Livramento would also be allowed to leave, having shown no intention of renewing his current deal, which expires in 2028. He would cost around £60m.

Newcastle expect captain Bruno Guimaraes to stay, despite reports linking him with Man United as Casemiro’s replacement.

The Magpies are prepared to discuss a new deal with the Brazil international in the coming months.

Tonali and Gordon could stay at Newcastle

Newcastle’s valuation of Tonali and Gordon could force interested clubs to explore alternative targets.

United have already been ruled out of the race to sign Tonali, with his steep price tag one of the reasons.

City are prioritising a move for Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, who would cost as much as the Italy international.

Liverpool are also unlikely to meet Gordon’s valuation. Michael Olise is their first choice target to replace Salah, while Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola are other options.

Despite Newcastle being open to letting Tonali and Gordon leave, their high valuations may keep both players at the club beyond this summer.
