Newcastle United are reportedly keen on signing New York Red Bulls forward Julian Hall.
Manager Matthias Jaissle wants the Magpies to make more quality signings, and the 18-year-old has emerged as a target.
However, they will face competition from RB Leipzig, Atletico Madrid and Hull City.
Hall has bagged nine goals and four assists in his last 19 starts for the Major League Soccer club and Newcastle admire his huge potential.
He made history after becoming the second-youngest player to make his MLS debut aged 15 years and 190 days in June 2024.
Hall became the youngest player to score an MLS hat-trick in May and plenty of European clubs are hoping to lure him away from North America.
A move to the Premier League could appeal to the American, who was named in the MLS All-Star last month.
Newcastle have lost key players this summer and are desperate to make quality additions before the summer transfer deadline.
They have spent £174 million this summer on Bazoumana Toure, Aladji Bamba, Amar Dedic, Lukas Hornicek, Sean Steur and Ewen Jaouen.
Guinea international midfielder Ousmane Diabate is also closing in on a move from Genclerbirligi.
A deal for Hall could be next and it will be intriguing to see whether they will make a concrete move for him.
