Newcastle United continue to explore options to strengthen their attack. Eddie Howe, meanwhile, is focused on keeping the squad balanced in all areas. The club are already showing interest in fresh talks for Elliot Anderson. With Juventus planning a swap deal with cash to tempt the Magpies over Sandro Tonali, plenty is happening behind the scenes. Amid all this, one name has been recently in the headlines, and that’s Ansu Fati.

According to Fichajes, several Premier League clubs admire the 22-year-old forward after he rediscovered his spark at AS Monaco. Crystal Palace, Everton, and Newcastle United closely monitor his situation. Fati’s early form in France reminds fans of his old brilliance. Once, everyone saw him as Barcelona’s most promising talent, but injuries and inconsistency stopped his progress for years.

Now at Monaco, he has scored six goals in just five appearances. The Spaniard is playing with rhythm and confidence again. Barcelona agreed to loan him out and included a buy option worth €11 million while keeping a buyback clause worth €28 million. That setup gives them multiple choices.

If Fati keeps performing, Monaco could activate their option. Barcelona might then buy him back and sell him for a profit. However, Premier League interest, especially from Newcastle United, could change their plan. The Magpies often make a move quickly when they see long-term value in a player. Fati’s revival could tempt them to act before next summer.

Newcastle United already have strong competition on the left wing. Anthony Gordon, Harvey Barnes, and Yoane Wissa form a sharp trio. Each player brings different strengths to the side. Gordon uses pace and directness. Barnes creates chances with flair, and Wissa adds balance and experience. Still, Fati’s style, cutting inside from the left or playing as a second striker, will provide something different in Howe’s 4-3-3 setup.

If the Spaniard joins the club, he could add flexibility without disrupting the current system. The 22-year-old might rotate with Gordon or compete for a central forward spot. Howe could even use a two-striker setup. Newcastle’s final decision will depend on how they plan long-term moves while managing other transfer matters.

Fati’s comeback should excite Newcastle supporters, but the club might prefer to track his progress rather than rush into a deal. In truth, the Magpies face a choice between patience and opportunity.
