In a recent report, The Sun claimed that Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall is open to joining Manchester United this summer. It has been stated that the English talent is keen to play in the UEFA Champions League next season and is eager to make a switch to join the Red Devils this off-season.
Hall enjoyed a decent campaign at the Tyneside club as he put in a string of impressive displays on the left side of their backline. The 21-year-old scored one goal and earned a couple of assists in 47 matches for Newcastle last season across multiple competitions.
The English talent is currently one of the most talented left-backs in the Premier League. Hence, Man United would do well to snap him up in this transfer window.
His current contract at St. James’ Park will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Hall is a solid tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind clearing his lines when required and is a decent crosser of the ball as well.
The English talent can chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal from the left flank. Hall is primarily a left-back but can also function as a box-to-box midfielder or as a left-sided wide player if told to do so. He has got some experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at the Mancunian club.
Hall would add more quality to Man United boss Michael Carrick’s defence. He is good enough to compete for a regular starting place at Old Trafford in the coming seasons.
At 21, the future looks quite promising for Hall as long as he continues to improve with each year. He will also help the Red Devils challenge across all fronts in the future. Therefore, Carrick would be wise to go for Hall before the end of this transfer window.
